COPIER TROUBLE? GENERAL INFORMATION Copier trouble? Problem q Copier plugged in? Copier does not operate. q Power switch ON? Solution Plug the copier into a grounded outlet. See page 8. Turn the power switch ON. See page 14. Copies are too dark or too light. Blank copies q Copy density properly adjusted? See pages 14 and 26. q Is the original placed face down? Place the original face down on the original table. Copies smear if rubbed. q Paper too heavy? q Paper damp? Use copy paper within the specified range. See page 50. Replace with dry copy paper. Be sure to store copy paper in a dry location. See page 51. Striped copies q Is transfer charger clean? Clean the transfer charger. See page 46. q Non-standard paper used? Use standard paper.
