ERROR MESSAGES Error messages Meaning q The battery has run down. BATT EMPTY BLANK DISC Can't COPY Can't EDIT Can't REC Can't WRITE DEFECT q Nothing is recorded. q No copy can be made because of the SCMS copyright system. q A track cannot be edited. q Recording cannot be performed correctly due to vibration or shock in the unit. q Editing is impossible. q The disc is scratched. Din UNLOCK DISC ERROR DISC FULL q Poor connection of the digital cable. q The disc is damaged. q The disc is out of recording space. HOLD q The unit is in the safety mode. LOCKED LOCK ERROR NO DISC PB DISC PROTECTED POWER ? q The EJECT lever was moved during recording or editing. q A disc has not been loaded. q The disc is write protected. q You tried to record on a playback- only disc. q Improper power is being supplied. SORRY SYSTEM ERR TEMP OVER q Since a track number is currently being located or written to, the unit cannot accept your command. q The unit is malfunctioning and will require service. q The temperature is too high. DISC q A large portion of the disc has been damaged. q There is no space left for recording character information (track names, disc names, etc.). q The track has been protected from being erased. q A large portion of the disc has been damaged. q There is an error in the recorded signal. q A disc which contains data other than music was played. q There is an error in the signal from the disc.
