Start printing after quitting all unused application software programs. ■ Is an appropriate print quality selected in the printer driver? Macintosh: "SMOOTHING" can be selected in the "Advanced" menu in the "Printer Features" menu in the Print window. Two-sided printing is not possible ■ Is two-sided printing disabled in the system settings (administrator)? Enable two-sided printing as explained in "DISABLING OF DUPLEX" in the "SYSTEM SETTINGS (ADMINISTRATOR)" in the operation manual. Stapling is not possible (when a finisher is installed) ■ Is stapling disabled in the system settings (administrator)? Enable stapling in the system settings (administrator) (see "DISABLING OF STAPLER" in the "SYSTEM SETTINGS (ADMINISTRATOR)" in the operation manual). ■ Did you attempt to print more pages than can be stapled? When a finisher is installed, up to 50 sheets can be stapled. When a saddle stitch finisher is installed, up to 50 sheets can be stapled (up to 30 sheets when the paper size is B4, Foolscap, or larger). ■ Are pages of different width mixed together in the print job?
