5. Using On-Screen Menu Using Test Pattern [TEST PATTERN] Displays the test pattern to check for image distortion at the time of the projector setup. Press the ENTER button to display the test pattern; press the EXIT button to close the test pattern and return to the menu. Menu operation and corrections for keystone, cornerstone and pincushion are not available when the test pattern is displayed. [OPTIONS(1)] Setting Auto Adjust [AUTO ADJUST] This feature sets the Auto Adjust mode so that the computer signal can be automatically or manually adjusted for noise and stability. You can automatically make adjustment in two ways: [NORMAL] and [FINE]. OFF The computer signal will not be automatically adjusted. You can manually optimize the computer signal. NORMAL Default setting. The computer signal will be automatically adjusted. Normally select this option. FINE Select this option if fine adjustment is needed. It takes more time to switch to the source than when [NORMAL]is selected. [SEAMLESS SWITCHING] When the input connector is switched, the image displayed before switching is held to switch to the new image without a break due to absence of a signal. Selecting Fan Mode [FAN MODE] This option allows you to select three modes for fan speed: Auto mode, High speed mode, and High Altitude mode. AUTO The built-in fans automatically run at a variable speed according to the internal temperature. HIGH The built-in fans run at high speed. HIGH ALTITUDE The built-in fans run at a high speed. Select this option when using the projector at altitudes approximately 5500 feet/1700 meters or higher. When you wish to cool down the temperature inside the projector quickly, select [HIGH]. NOTE: • It is recommended that you select High speed mode if you use the projector non-stop for consecutive days. • Set [FAN MODE] to [HIGH ALTITUDE] when using the projector at altitudes approximately 5500 feet/1700 meters or higher. • Using the projector at altitudes approximately 5500 feet/1700 meters or higher without setting to [HIGH ALTITUDE] can cause the projector to overheat and the protector could shut down. If this happens, wait a couple minutes and turn on the projector. • Using the projector at altitudes approximately 5500 feet/1700 meters or higher can shorten the life of optical components such as the light. • Your setting will not be affected even when [RESET] is done from the menu. TIP: • When [HIGH ALTITUDE] is selected, an icon [ ] is displayed at the bottom of the on-screen menu. 71

Setting Auto Adjust [AUTO ADJUST]
This feature sets the Auto Adjust mode so that the computer signal can be automatically or manually adjusted for
noise and stability. You can automatically make adjustment in two ways: [NORMAL] and [FINE].
