Portable audio player, etc. Auto power on function: When you press any of the following buttons, the unit turns on. TIMER To the line output jack CD 5 4 3 2 1 PLAYBACK (PLAY & STOP) PHONES AUDIO IN RECORD/PLAYBACK To record sounds of Portable Audio Player, etc. 1 Insert a cassette in the TAPE 2 cassette compartment. 2 Press the AUDIO IN button. 3 Press the button. 4 Press the / button. 5 Play the Portable Audio Player, etc. Advanced Features Audio cable (not supplied) Listening to sounds of Portable Audio Player, etc. 1 Connect a Portable Audio Player etc. to the front AUDIO IN jack. 2 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on. 3 Press the AUDIO IN button. 4 Play the connected equipment. You can enjoy sounds from the supplied speakers. Note: To prevent noise interference, place the unit away from the television. Headphones Before plugging in or unplugging the headphones, reduce the volume. Be sure your headphones have a 1/8" (3.5 mm) diameter plug and impedance between 16 and 50 ohms. The recommended impedance is 32 ohms. Plugging in the headphones disconnects the speakers automatically. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control.
