HELPFUL INFORMATION FOR EMBROIDERING WITH FUTURA 1. If stitches are missing If the embroidery machine detects that the thread has broken, it may continue to embroider up to about eight stitches without any thread (blank stitches) before it automatically stops. In such cases, use the following procedure to step back through the embroidering data to the point for continuing. 1. Press the reverse switch (stitch return) to step back through the embroidery data. The hoop will move back one stitch at a time. Step back through the data until the blank area has been completely passed over. 2. Restart the embroidery machine and continue embroidering. Computer screen says thread is broken with flashing light, beeping sound or "E1" error message, but thread is not broken. Thread path under transparent cover at top of machine is not threaded correctly (see page 18 - 19 "Setting the top thread") or you may want to cover small spool of thread with small net and use removable thread guide for large spool that are supplied with accessories. 3. When bobbin runs out of thread while sewing 1. Place the bobbin on the bobbin winder shaft and push the shaft towards the right. 2. Press the start/stop switch to begin winding. (The foot control is inoperable with the embroidery unit attached). 3. Remove the hoop from the machine, (DO NOT REMOVE YOUR FABRIC FROM THE HOOP), replace the empty bobbin and then re-insert the hoop. 4. If the embroidery machine detects that the thread has
