[USB SELECT] appears on the LCD screen of the camcorder. 5 Touch [ HDD] on the [USB SELECT] screen. Now you can access to the hard disk drive of the camcorder from your Macintosh. If a screen asking whether to format the hard disk drive appears, select [NO]. 6 Operate your Macintosh to copy image files from the camcorder. You can edit the copied images and burn them on a DVD using the compliant software. • For the folder structure of your camcorder, see page 119. • When you copy image files to a Macintosh, do not delete the files on the camcorder directly from the Macintosh. Use a special caution for preventing damages and malfunctions of the camcorder • When connecting your camcorder with the USB cable or other cable, make sure you insert the connector in the correct direction. Do not insert the connector forcibly as it may damage the cable or your camcorder. • Do not delete files on the camcorder through the computer, it may cause a malfunction. Copying image files from the
camcorder to a Macintosh

Turn on your Macintosh.

Connect the Handycam Station to the wall
outlet using the supplied AC Adaptor.

Set the camcorder onto the Handycam
Station, then slide the POWER switch to turn
on.

Connect the
(USB) jack of the Handycam
Station to your Macintosh using the supplied
USB cable.
[USB SELECT] appears on the LCD screen
