See page 65 for details on selecting menu items. Press the MENU button t select (OTHERS) with the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial. ASSIGN BUTTON See page 43. CLOCK SET See page 22. AREA SET You can adjust a time difference without stopping the clock. When you use your camcorder abroad, you can adjust the clock to the local time. DST SET/SUMMERTIME You can change this setting without stopping the clock. Set to [ON] to move the time forward 1 hour. B OFF Does not set the summertime. ON Sets the summertime. LANGUAGE You can select the language to be used on the LCD screen. z Tips • Your camcorder offers [ENG[SIMP]] (simplified English) in case that you cannot find your native tongue among the options. BEEP OFF Cancels the melody. B ON Activates a melody when you start/stop recording, or when you are warned with warning indicators, etc. REC LAMP (Recording lamp) When you set this function to [OFF], you can turn off the camera recording lamp. The default setting is [ON]. z Tips • You can assign this function to an ASSIGN button (p. 43). REMOTE CONTROL When you set this function to [ON], you can use the supplied Wireless Remote Commander (p. 113).
