Introducing the TV Jack Description 1 HDMI 6 IN HDMI/ R-AUDIO IN-L HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) provides an uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface between this TV and any HDMI-equipped audio/video component, such as a set-top box, DVD player, and A/V receiver. HDMI supports enhanced, or high-definition video, plus two-channel digital audio. The AUDIO IN (L/R) of HDMI IN is for DVI connection. For details, see page 27. 2 VIDEO 1 IN S VIDEO Connects to the S VIDEO output jack of your VCR or other video equipment that has S VIDEO. S VIDEO provides better picture quality than the composite video (3) connection. 3 VIDEO 1/3 IN VIDEO/ L (MONO)AUDIO-R Connect to the composite video and audio output jacks on your VCR or other video component. A third composite video and audio (VIDEO/HD/DVD 2 IN) is located on the left side panel of the TV. 4 HD/DVD 4/5 IN (1080i/720p/ 480p/480i)/ L-AUDIO-R Connect to your DVD player's or digital set-top box's component video (YPBPR) and audio (L/R) jacks. Component video provides better picture quality than the S VIDEO (2) or the composite video (3) connections. 5 OPTICAL OUT Connects to the optical audio input of a digital audio component that is PCM/Dolby Digital (PCM/DOLBY* compatible.
