Before opening the system unit, save any open files, exit Windows, turn off the power of the computer and all attached peripherals, and then unplug the power cord. 1 Remove the cover (see "Removing the Cover" on page 22). 2 Locate an available expansion slot connector. 3 Remove the slot cover adjacent to the selected slot connector (see "Removing a Slot Cover" on page 40). 4 Insert the add-in card into the PCI slot connector. Use a gentle rocking motion, pressing down until the card is fully seated. ✍ Align the card's bracket so that the bottom of the bracket fits into the slot at the bottom of the chassis. Ensure that the top of the bracket fits snugly against the chassis lip after the card is fully inserted. KY0070.VSD 5 Replace the screw that secures the card. 6 Attach any necessary cables to the card (see the instructions that came with the add-in card). 7 Replace the cover (see "Replacing the Cover" on page 27). 8 Turn on the computer and follow any instructions that came with the add-in card.

Align the card's bracket so that the bottom of the bracket fits into the slot at the
bottom of the chassis. Ensure that the top of the bracket fits snugly against the
chassis lip after the card is fully inserted.
