Making calls (continued) Making calls through the speakerphone Press (SPEAKERPHONE) on the base phone. The SPEAKERPHONE lamp lights up. "- -" lights up on the display. Dial the phone number. To adjust the speaker volume, press (VOLUME +/-). When you are done talking, press (SPEAKERPHONE) again. (REDIAL/PAUSE) (VOLUME +/-) (SPEAKERPHONE) To obtain the best speakerphone performance • You may not be able to hear the other party's voice in a noisy place. Use the speakerphone in a quiet room. • Do not bring your hand or other object too close to the microphone or you will hear a shrill noise ("feedback"). • When the speaker volume is too loud, or the telephone has been placed too close to a wall, the volume may drop suddenly. This is due to a circuit in the telephone designed to prevent feedback. In such cases, lower the speaker volume slightly. Redialing On the handset 1 Press (TALK/FLASH). The TALK lamp lights up. 2 Press (REDIAL) to redial the number last dialed. Note If the number last dialed exceeds 16 digits, only the first 16 digits are dialed.
