0000099079_001 13 Assembling the Blower If the LED flashes red: there is no electric contact between the battery and the charger. Remove and reinsert the battery. or The battery has a malfunction and must be replaced. Check the LEDs on the battery. Do not use or charge a battery if its LEDs indicate a malfunction. or The charger has a malfunction. Have it checked by an authorized STIHL servicing dealer before use. For more information, @ 23. 13 Assembling the Blower To mount the nozzle: 1 English 3 2 ► Push the locking lever (1) and hold it in this position. ► Adjust the nozzle (3) by sliding it into the desired position on the blower tube (2). ► Release the locking lever (1). The nozzle should lock in position. 13.1 Mounting and Adjusting the Nozzle WARNING Make sure the battery is removed before starting assembly. Never operate your blower without a properly mounted blower tube and nozzle, @ 5.6.4. Use only attachments supplied or expressly approved by STIHL, @ 5.5. The nozzle can be mounted to the blower tube in three positions to suit the height and reach of the user. The positions are marked on the blower tube. 14 Inserting and Removing the Battery 14.1 Inserting the Battery WARNING Never use a malfunctioning, damaged, cracked, leaking or deformed battery, @ 6.1. Use and store the battery only within an ambient temperature range of 14 °F to 122 °F (- 10 °C to 50 °C), @ 6.1. WARNING To reduce the risk of unintended activation, never store the battery in the blower, @ 20.2. 0458-008-8601-A 19
