21 Cleaning 21 Cleaning 21.1 Cleaning the Blower, Battery and Charger WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended activation, remove the battery before carrying out any cleaning work, @ 9. Users of this blower should carry out only the cleaning described in this manual. To clean the blower, battery and charger: ► Clean a dirty intake screen carefully with a soft brush whenever required. ► Clean the blower's polymer components with a slightly dampened cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents. They may damage the polymer components. ► Do not use a pressure washer to clean the blower or otherwise spray it with water or other liquids. ► Keep the battery housing, guides and electrical contacts free from foreign matter and clean as necessary with a soft brush or soft, dry cloth. ► Keep the charger housing and electrical contacts free from foreign matter. Clean as necessary with a soft brush or soft, dry cloth. Always unplug the charger before cleaning. English To properly maintain the blower: ► Inspect the intake screen of the blower and replace if damaged. ► Have worn, missing or damaged safety labels replaced by an authorized STIHL servicing dealer.
