Switching On When delivered, the battery is charged to a charge state of approx. 30 %. It is advisable to charge the battery completely before using it for the first time. N Before inserting the battery, remove the battery compartment cover if there is one; to do this, press both safety catches at the same time - cover is unlocked - and remove the cover Insert battery N Hold the machine with both hands - wrap hands tightly around the handles N Make certain that the saw chain has not yet been positioned for cutting and is not touching any other objects N Pull hand guard towards the front handle until it engages audibly and the hand guard is in the position , - chain brake is released 3999BA010 KN Trigger switch English The motor speed can be controlled using the trigger switch. The more the trigger switch is depressed, the higher the motor speed. 3999BA015 KN 3999BA016 KN 1 N Insert battery in the battery compartment of the machine - battery slides into the compartment - press gently until it clicks into place - top of battery must be flush with the top edge of the housing Switching on the machine N Assume a firm and secure stance N Ensure that there are no other persons within the swivel range of the machine 2 N Press trigger switch lockout (1) with thumb N Depress trigger switch (2) with index finger N Guide the machine into the wood with the saw chain running The motor will not run unless the hand guard is set to , and the trigger switch lockout (1) and trigger switch (2) are pressed at the same time. When delivered, the battery is charged

Before inserting the battery, remove
the battery compartment cover if
there is one; to do this, press both
safety catches at the same time –
cover is unlocked – and remove the
cover
Insert battery

Insert battery in the battery
compartment of the machine –
battery slides into the compartment
– press gently until it clicks into
place – top of battery must be flush
with the top edge of the housing
Switching on the machine

Assume a firm and secure stance
N
Ensure that there are no other
persons within the swivel range of
the machine
N
Hold the machine with both hands –
wrap hands tightly around the
handles
N
Make certain that the saw chain has
not yet been positioned for cutting
and is not touching any other
objects

Pull hand guard towards the front
handle until it engages audibly and
the hand guard is in the position
– chain brake is released

Press trigger switch lockout (1) with
thumb

Depress trigger switch (2) with
index finger

Guide the machine into the wood
with the saw chain running
The motor will not run unless the hand
guard is set to
and the trigger switch
