Chapter1 Introduction Thank you for purchasing the TRENDnet TE100-MP1U/TE100-MP2U/TEW-MP2UW USB Multi-Function Print Server (in the following referred to as "Server"). This Server is designed to connect your All-In-One/Multifunction Peripheral, Printers, USB Mass Storages (Hard Drives, Flash Drives, and Memory Card Readers), and scanners, to your network, allowing all network users access to these shared USB devices resources. 1.1 About 3 Models Described in this Manual This manual provides introductory information as well as detailed instructions on how to set up and manage TE100-MP1U/TE100-MP2U/TEW-MP2UW in various network environments. The following table shows the differences among the 3 models. All 3 models have a 10/100 Mbps LAN port. However, TE100-MP1U has only one USB port, while both TE100-MP2U and TEW-MP2U have two USB ports. Compared with TE100-MP2U, TEW-MP2U has an additional wireless module (802.11b/g). Except for the wireless configuration, most configuration and operations are the same for TE100-MP1U and TEW-MP2U. Similarly, almost all of the configuration and operations are the same for TE100-MP1U and TEW-MP2U except that only one USB device can be connected to TE100-MP1U while at most two USB devices can be connected to TE100-MP2U. Unless explicitly specified, all instructions in the manual apply to TE100-MP2U and TEW-MP2U. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the TRENDnet TE100-MP1U/TE100-MP2U/TEW-MP2UW
USB Multi-Function Print Server (in the following referred to as “Server”). This Server

About 3 Models Described in this Manual
