To use the V-Chip to block programs by rating: 1. Press MENU. 2. Press x or • to highlight the SET UP menu. 3. Press y or z to highlight V-CHIP CONTROL. 4. Press x or • to display the Enter PIN Code screen. 5. Use the Channel Number buttons (0-9) to enter your PIN code. If you are accessing the V-Chip menu for the first time, select a four-digit number to be your PIN code. After the code is entered, the V-Chip Control menu appears. 6. Press y or z to highlight ENABLE BLOCKING. 7. Press x or • to highlight "Y," which enables all blocking by activating the V-Chip. (Note: Highlight "N" to deactivate the V-Chip and disable blocking.) PICTURE AUDIO SET UP PREFER C.CAPT ENABLE BLOCKING [Y] N SET RATING SET BLOCKING OPTIONS NEW PIN CODE BLOCK CHANNEL VIDEO LOCK OFF MOVE[ ] SELECT[ ] 8. Press y or z to highlight SET RATING. 9. Press x or • to display the Set Rating menu. 10. Press y or z to highlight MPAA Rating, Youth TV Rating, or TV Rating. 11. Press • to select (or x to deselect) the ratings to be blocked. Blocked ratings are signified with the symbol "x." Unblocked ratings are signified with the symbol " ." As you block ratings, all ratings higher than the ones you select are blocked as well. For example, if you block the MPAA rating R, the higher ratings NC17 and X will also be blocked. Note: Not all programs are rated. To block programs or movies that are unrated, see "Blocking unrated movies and programs" on page 19. To use the V-Chip to block programs by rating:
1.
Press MENU.
2. Press

to highlight the SET UP menu.

to highlight V-CHIP CONTROL.

to display the Enter PIN Code screen.

Use the Channel Number buttons (0–9) to enter your PIN code.
If you are accessing the V-Chip menu for the first time, select a
