Blinks when the remote control is sending a signal to the TV or is being programmed. Starts all programming sequences. Puts the remote control in AUXILIARY mode (to operate a programmed device). Puts the remote control in CABLE mode (to operate a programmed cable TV settop box) or SATELLITE mode (to operate a programmed satellite TV set-top box). Puts the remote control in TV mode (preprogrammed to operate this TV). Puts the remote control in VCR mode (to operate a programmed VCR). Select a channel or input a password. a. In TV mode, enters a channel number greater than 100. b. In other modes, functions as ENTER. a. In TV mode, enters a decimal point for DTV channel numbers. b. In other modes, functions as INPUT. Turns the volume up/down. Tunes the previously viewed channel. (Will not switch between TV and DTV channels). Changes the channel up/down. Turns the sound ON and OFF. Displays the current video and audio source (and channel number in TV mode). Opens the on-screen display (OSD) menus. Selects options in the menus. Navigate the menus. Closes a menu or program guide, or exits the device. Turns the program guide ON and OFF in DTV mode (see page 30). a. In TV mode, toggles among STEREO, SAP, and MONO audio. b. Using the Remote Control

Turns the TV ON and OFF.

Blinks when the remote control is sending a
signal to the TV or is being programmed.

Starts all programming sequences.

Puts the remote control in AUXILIARY mode
(to operate a programmed device).

Puts the remote control in CABLE mode
(to operate a programmed cable TV set-

Puts the remote control in TV mode
(preprogrammed to operate this TV).

Puts the remote control in VCR mode (to
operate a programmed VCR).
8. Channel
Numbers
Select a channel or input a password.

a. In TV mode, enters a channel number
greater than ±00.
b. In other modes, functions as ENTER.
±0. – /INPUT
a. In TV mode, enters a decimal point for
DTV channel numbers.
b. In other modes, functions as INPUT.
±±. VOL (+/–)
Turns the volume up/down.
±². CH RTN
Tunes the previously viewed channel.
(Will not switch between TV and DTV
channels).

Changes the channel up/down.

Turns the sound ON and OFF.

Displays the current video and audio source
(and channel number in TV mode).
