Welcome Getting Ready Overview of the Product The gigabeat is a portable audio player that plays back audio data transferred from a PC. Audio data can be transferred from a PC to the gigabeat by using supplied TOSHIBA Audio Application and it can be played on the gigabeat. For details on audio data transfer or TOSHIBA Audio Application, refer to the TOSHIBA Audio Application Owner's Manual. You can also transfer audio data to the gigabeat using Windows Media Player 9 Series. G Transferring audio data to the gigabeat by using TOSHIBA Audio Application TOSHIBA Audio Application Play the transferred data on the gigabeat. Audio data (MP3, WMA or WAV) Convert the music CD into MP3, WMA or WAV audio data on your PC beforehand. USB cable PC G Transferring audio data to the gigabeat by using Windows Media Player 9 Series When using Windows Media Player 9 Series, see "When Using Windows Media Player 9 Series" ( p. 39 of the TOSHIBA Audio Application Owner's Manual). Windows Media Player 9 Series Play the transferred data on the gigabeat. Convert the music CD to WMA audio data on your PC beforehand, using Windows Media Player 9 Series. USB cable PC The gigabeat cannot play audio data other than that which is transferred by using TOSHIBA Audio Application or Windows Media Player 9 Series. Audio data transferred to the gigabeat by using TOSHIBA Audio Application or Windows Media Player 9 Series has been encrypted and therefore cannot be played on any other gigabeat or media player.
