Welcome Terminology CDDB This is a database service of song information that is recorded on music CDs. You can get the information from the Internet. EQUALIZER This is a device or function that controls the tone by increasing or decreasing the scale of a number of equal frequency bandwidths using a knob or another method. MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3) An international standard established by MPEG, a working group under the International Standardization Organization (ISO). This standard permits files to be compressed at a scale of 1/10 to 1/12. Tag Information This is information such as the song titles, artist's name, album name, and genre which is written to an audio file. USB Mass Storage Class This is a standard of peripheral devices which are identified as drives, such as hard disk drives (HDD), when connected. It is also called USB storage class. WAV This is a Windows standard non-compressed audio file. WMA (Windows Media Audio) This designates the audio-compression coding method developed by Microsoft Corporation or audio files compressed according to this standard.
