Learning the Basics Using the optical drive 93 NOTE For optimum HD DVD and/or DVD performance, it is recommended that you play DVDs while running the computer on AC power. Optical drive components The optical drive is located on the front of the computer. The Media control buttons are located above the keyboard and can be accessed when the display panel is open. Depending on the type of drive on your computer, the procedure to insert and remove optical media may differ. ❖ If your computer includes a slot style optical drive (available on certain models), see "Inserting a disc" on page 95 for more more information. ❖ If your computer includes a standard tray style optical drive (available on certain models), see "Inserting a disc" on page 96 for more information. The Media button launches Windows Media Center and plays the CD or DVD, if one is inserted into the drive, when the computer is powered on and the Windows® operating system is running. While Media Center is running, the Media button has the same function as the My Music button on the Toshiba Remote Control.

Using the optical drive
For optimum HD DVD and/or DVD performance, it is recommended
that you play DVDs while running the computer on AC power.
Optical drive components
The optical drive is located on the front of the computer. The Media
control buttons are located above the keyboard and can be accessed
when the display panel is open.
Depending on the type of drive on your computer, the procedure to
insert and remove optical media may differ.
