The Grand Tour TOSHIBA Presentation Press this button to switch between an internal Button display, external display, simultaneous display, or multi-monitor display. TOSHIBA Assist Button Press this button to launch an application quickly. The button setting can be changed in TOSHIBA Controls properties. To access the TOSHIBA Controls properties, click Start, click the Control Panel, click Printers and the Software and click the TOSHIBA Controls icon to open. Power Button Press the power button to turn the computer's power on and off. Left and Right Speakers TouchPad TouchPad Control Buttons Fingerprint Sensor The computer provides two speakers for stereo sound reproduction. The TouchPad pointing device is located in the center of the palm rest and is used to control the on-screen pointer. Refer to the Using the TouchPad section in Chapter 4, Operating Basics. Control buttons below the TouchPad let you select menu items or manipulate text and graphics designated by the on-screen pointer. Just by swiping the finger against the fingerprint sensor, the following functions will be enabled: ■ Logon to Windows and access a securityenabled homepage through IE (Internet Explorer). ■ Files and folders can be encrypted/decrypted and third party access to them prevented. ■ Disable the password-protected screensaver when returning from power-saving (standby) mode. ■ System boot authentication and Single Touch Boot feature. ■ Authentication of the User Password and Hard Disk Drive Password when booting up the computer.
