4. Serial Port, Host, Device and User Configuration 4.5 Trusted Networks The Trusted Networks facility provides an option to assign specific IP addresses that users (Administrators and Users) must be located in order to have access to console server serial ports: • Select Serial & Network: Trusted Networks. • To add a new trusted network, select Add Rule. Note: In the absence of rules, there are no access limitations to the IP address for which Users or Administrators can be located. • Select the Accessible Port(s) that the new rule is applied to. • Enter the Network Address of the subnet to be permitted access. • Specify the range of addresses that are to be permitted by entering a Network Mask for that permitted IP range.  To permit all the users located with a particular Class C network (204.15.5.0 say) connection to the assigned port then you would add the following Trusted Network New Rule: Network IP Address 204.15.5.0 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0  If you want to permit only the one user who is located at a specific IP address (204.15.5.13) to connect: Network IP Address Subnet Mask  204.15.5.13 255.255.255.255 51

The
Trusted Networks

• Select

• To add a new trusted network, select

Note:
