Disarming To disarm the system, press . You will hear two chirps, and the parking lights will flash twice. If the power locks are connected to the system, the doors will unlock. If the siren chirps either four or five times when disarming, refer to the Diagnostics section of this guide. This is called Tamper Alert. The remote sounds 2 beeps and the unlock icon flashes 5 times, when the system is disarmed. When disarming after the system has been triggered, the remote sends a diagnostic notification, as described below: s If a sensor triggered the system the remote emits 4 quick beeps, and the LCD screen flashes the zone indicator to display which sensor tripped the alarm. s If a switch (Zone 1, 3 or 5) triggered the system, the remote emits 4 quick beeps, and the LCD screen flashes the zone indicator to display which switch tripped the alarm. s If the system was triggered enough times that NPC (See Nuisance Prevention Circuitry) is active, the remote emit 5 beeps. High Security Disarm High Security Disarm makes it possible to silence and reset the system when it is triggering, without disarming. If the system is triggered, and the siren sounds for longer than six seconds, pressing the button will stop the trigger and return the system to an armed state. The system does not disarm, but rather reset. This prevents you from disabling the system should you want to disarm without visually checking the vehicle. Pressing the button again after resetting the system, will disarm the system. Pressing the button during the first six seconds of the triggered sequence disarms the system immediately.
