VIZIO JV50P HDTV10A User Manual 2.8 Connecting the 5.1 Wireless Surround Sound The JV50P is the first HDTV to giving a full HD experience by providing beautiful High Definition visual experience and an awesome High Definition 5.1 Surround Sound audible experience. The front left, right and center channel speakers are fixed below the screen of the JV50P HDTV. The sub-woofer requires only to be connected to a wall socket and then it receives the sound signal wirelessly from the HDTV. The sub-woofer cabinet contains the amplifier to power the sub-woofer itself plus the rear left and right satellite speakers which are connected to it. As the low frequency sound from the sub-woofer is not directional it can be placed in a convenient location anywhere in the room. We suggest that you place it on the floor behind the couch where nobody will trip over the power and speaker cables. On the rear of the sub-woofer cabinet there is a three pronged IEC power connector labeled AC IN to which you should connect the supplied power cable. There also two connectors on the rear for the satellite speakers labeled SPEAKER, the red connector (RS) for the red plug on the right speaker wire and the white connector (LS) for the white plug on the left speaker wire. The satellite speaker cabinets have keyhole slots in the rear for easy mounting on the wall behind the couch, (screws and wall plugs are not included), or you may choose to place them on speaker stands, (not included). Although the wireless system will operate without any setup as shipped from the factory, it is not dedicated to your HDTV and it is possible that it would pick-up the audio from your neighbor's TV if they are lucky enough and purchase a JV50P as well! We advise you to dedicate your wireless system to your TV by following the Pairing Procedure to marry to devices to each other using the button on the rear of the sub-woofer labeled CH-SEARCH, PAIRING.
