Telephone operation Temporary tone dialing If you have pulse (rotary) service only, you can switch from pulse to touch-tone dialing temporarily during a call. This is useful if you need to send touch-tone signals to access your telephone banking or long distance services. 1. During a call, press . 2. Use the dialing keys to enter the number you wish to dial. The telephone sends touch-tone signals. It automatically returns to pulse dialing mode after you end the call. Find handset This feature helps you find misplaced handsets and headset. To start the paging tone: • Press FIND HANDSET on the telephone base. All idle handsets and headsets ring and the handsets display ** Paging ** and the light on the headset flashes in blue. To stop the paging tone: • Press /HOME, OFF, , or any dialing key (0-9 or ) on a handset. -OR- • Press on the headset. -OR- • Press FIND HANDSET on the telephone base. -OR- • Place the handset in the telephone base or charger. ** Paging ** Press MUTE to turn off the ringer of a handset temporarily. Paging tone continues on all other handsets. Check voicemail • Press and hold 1 on the handset to dial your stored voicemail number. To set your voicemail number, see Voicemail number on page 33. 42
