Item Lines Explanation Values: 5 ~ 128 (1 unit) This item allows you to set vertical spacing from 5 to 128 lines for the default paper size. The lines may differ according to the paper size and printing orientation. PostScript This menu provides you with the Print PS Error menu item. Item Print PS Error Explanation Values: On, Off You can select whether or not your printer prints an error list when a PS error occurs. • Select On to print PS 3 emulation errors. If an error occurs, the job stops processing, the error message prints, and the printer flushes the job. • If this menu is set to Off, the job is flushed without an indication of the error. EPSON This menu sets the EPSON emulation configuration. Item Explanation Font Values: SANSERIF, ROMAN You can select the standard font that will be used in EPSON emulation. Character Set Values: USA, FRANCE, GERMANY, UK, DENMARK1, SWEDEN, ITALY, SPAIN1, JAPAN, NORWAY, DENMARK2, SPAIN2, LATIN This item allows you to select a character set of the desired language. Character Tab. Values: ITALIC, PC437US, PC850 This item selects the character set. Pitch Values: 10, 12, 17.14, 20 You can determine the font size by setting the number of characters that will print in one horizontal inch of type. Item LPI Auto Wrap Explanation Values: 6, 8 You can set the number of lines printed in one vertical inch. Values: Off, On This item determines whether or not the printer automatically performs line feed when the data overflows the printable area of the print material. Network menu (Phaser 3600/N, Phaser 3600/DN only) This menu lets you configure the network interface installed in your printer. You can reset the network interface and print a configuration page. Item TCP/IP EtherTalk NetWare Explanation Values: DHCP, BOOTP, Static This item allows you to manually set the TCP/IP addresses or receive the addresses from the network. • DHCP: The DHCP server assigns the IP address to you automatically. • BOOTP: The BOOTP server assigns the IP address to you automatically. • Static: You can enter IP address, subnet mask, and gateway manually. Values: Off, On This item lets you select whether or not you use the EtherTalk protocol. • Off: You can disable the EtherTalk protocol. • On: You can enable the EtherTalk protocol. Values: Auto, 802.2, 802.3, Ethernet II, SNAP, Off This item lets you select the IPX frame type. • Auto: You can set the frame type automatically. • 802.2: Select this value to use the IEEE 802.2 frame type. • 802.3: Select this value to use the IEEE 802.3 frame type. • Ethernet II: Select this value to use the Ethernet 2 frame type. • SNAP: Select this value to use the SNAP frame type. • Off: You can disable the NetWare protocol. 2.8
