Setup menu Bass Out Use this feature to select the speakers from which the LFE (low-frequency effect) and the low-frequency signals will be output. Note When "Front" is selected, you cannot adjust the subwoofer level using the pop up menu. Crossover Use this feature to select the crossover frequency of speakers that are set to "Small". All frequencies below the selected frequency are sent to the subwoofer or to the speakers set to "Large". Choices: 40Hz, 60Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz, 160Hz, 200Hz Subwoofer Phase Use this feature to switch the phase of your subwoofer if the bass sound is too weak or unclear. Choice Functions Normal Does not change the phase of your subwoofer. Reverse Sets the phase of the subwoofer to reverse. ■ Speaker Level Use this feature to manually balance the speaker levels. Control range: -20 to +20 (Test Tone: Off, On) Initial setting: 0 (Test Tone: Off, SWFR: +6) Control step: 1 Choice Test Tone FL FR C SL SR SWFR Adjusted speaker Turns the test tone output on or off. Adjusts the front left speaker level. Adjusts the front right speaker level. Adjusts the center speaker level. Adjusts the surround left speaker level. Adjusts the surround right speaker level. Adjusts the subwoofer level. ■ Reset Use this menu to reset the speaker settings. Choice Yes No Functions Resets the speaker related settings. Cancels resetting. Sound menu Use this menu to change the various sound settings. The choices indicated in bold are selected by default. ■ Air Surround Xtreme The AIR SURROUND XTREME technology enables you to enjoy up to 7.1-channel sound (when multi-channel PCM signals are input) without using surround speakers by simulating sound from virtual speakers. Choice Functions On Turns on the AIR SURROUND XTREME function. Off Turns off the AIR SURROUND XTREME function. Notes • When surround speakers are connected, "- - -" is displayed and you cannot set the "Air Surround Xtreme" setting. The AIR SURROUND XTREME function is not available in this case. • When DSP Program is set to "Off" or "Music Enhancer", the AIR SURROUND XTREME function is deactivated. • When "Air Surround Xtreme" is set to "Yes", the connected external sources output Dolby Digital or PCM signals instead of Dolby TrueHD or Dolby Digital Plus signals.
