■ Adaptive DRC (dynamic range control) Use this feature to adjust the dynamic range in conjunction with the volume level. It improves listenability at low volume. Choice Functions Auto Off Adjusts the dynamic range automatically. Does not adjust the dynamic range automatically. When "Adaptive DRC" is set to "Auto", this unit controls the dynamic range as follows: - If the volume setting is low: the dynamic range is narrow - If the volume setting is high: the dynamic range is wide Output level Output level Auto Off Auto Off Input level Volume: low Input level Volume: high y You can also adjust the dynamic range of the bitstream signal sources (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS signal) by using the "Dynamic Range" menu. ■ Lipsync Use this menu to adjust the audio and video synchronization. If the connected TV is compatible with the automatic lip sync function The Lipsync mode of this unit is set to "Auto", and you can fine-adjust the audio and video synchronization by adjusting the offset value. Control range: -240 through 0 to 240 ms (the range varies depending on the result of automatic measurement) Control step: 1 ms If the connected TV is not compatible with the automatic lip sync function The Lipsync mode of this unit is set to "Manual". Adjust the delay of the sound output manually to synchronize the sound with the picture. Control range: 0 to 240 ms Control step: 1 ms Setup menu ■ Dynamic Range Selects the dynamic range adjustment method for reproducing bitstream signals (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS signal). Choice Min/Auto Std Max Functions (Min) Sets the dynamic range suitable for low volume or a quiet environment, such as at night, for bitstream signals (excluding Dolby TrueHD signals). (Auto) Adjusts the dynamic range for Dolby TrueHD signals based on input signal information. Sets the standard dynamic range recommended for regular home use. Outputs sound without adjusting the dynamic range of the input signals. ■ HDMI Audio Out Use this menu to select whether to play back HDMI audio signals on this unit or on the TV connected to this unit. Choice Amp TV Functions Outputs HDMI audio signals from the speakers connected to this unit. Outputs HDMI audio signals from the speakers of the TV. Notes • If "HDMI Audio Out" is set to "TV", the available audio signals vary depending on the specifications of the connected TV. • When "HDMI Audio Out" is set to "TV" and the audio signals are output from the HDMI OUT jack, the speakers connected to this unit output no sound. • Even if "HDMI Audio Out" is set to "TV", the sound signals of some sources are not output from the HDMI OUT jack. In this case, sound is output from the speakers connected to this unit. Input menu Use this menu to add new input sources or change the input source settings you have made with the Initial Setup procedure. The choices indicated in bold are selected by default. ■ Add new input When you connect new components to this unit or modify the connections between this unit and other components, use this menu to reflect the new connections. OPERATION
Adaptive DRC (dynamic range control)
Use this feature to adjust the dynamic range in
conjunction with the volume level. It improves
listenability at low volume.
When “Adaptive DRC” is set to “Auto”, this unit controls
the dynamic range as follows:

When “HDMI Audio Out” is set to “TV” and the audio signals
are output from the HDMI OUT jack, the speakers connected to
this unit output no sound.
Even if “HDMI Audio Out” is set to “TV”, the sound signals of
some sources are not output from the HDMI OUT jack. In this
case, sound is output from the speakers connected to this unit.
Use this menu to add new input sources or change the
