The Patterns are the basic building blocks of the DJX-II sound - they're the rhythmic foundation for everything else on this dance machine. 1 Work out with the Patterns Here's where it all starts! Hit one of the keys (1 - 10) in the PATTERN PLAYER section - and the Pattern starts immediately. Hitting another key instantly switches to a different Pattern (actually, a Variation on the main Pattern). Since the DJX-II starts the Pattern right away, be careful to press the key in time with the rhythm. Practice this a while - there's no better way to get your timing tight and develop a solid sense of rhythm! To stop the Pattern, press PATTERN STOP. 14
