CONNECTING SPEAKERS 1 Remove approximately 10 mm (3/8 in) of insulation from the end of each speaker cable and then twist the exposed wires of the cable together to prevent short circuits. 10 mm (3/8 in) Connecting a subwoofer The low frequency range of the left channel and the right channel are mixed to output at the SUBWOOFER OUT jack. Connect the SUBWOOFER OUT jack on this unit to the INPUT jack on the subwoofer using the subwoofer cable (commercially available). TUN SUBWOOFER OUT 2 Press and hold the lever. Red: positive (+) Black: negative (-) Subwoofer cable (commercially available) 3 Insert one bare wire. By releasing the lever, the lever is replaced. INPUT INPUT Subwoofer (commercially available) Red: positive (+) Black: negative (-) ■ Notes on the speaker cord A speaker cord is actually a pair of insulated cables running side by side. One cable is colored or shaped differently, perhaps with a stripe, groove or ridge. Connect the striped (grooved, etc.) cable to the "+"(red) terminals on this unit and your speaker. Connect the plain cable to the "-"(black) terminals on this unit and your speaker. Note Do not connect the power cable of this unit and the subwoofer until all cable connections are completed. 10 En

Notes on the speaker cord
A speaker cord is actually a pair of insulated cables
running side by side. One cable is colored or shaped
differently, perhaps with a stripe, groove or ridge. Connect
the striped (grooved, etc.) cable to the “+”(red) terminals
on this unit and your speaker. Connect the plain cable to
the “–”(black) terminals on this unit and your speaker.
The low frequency range of the left channel and the right
channel are mixed to output at the SUBWOOFER OUT
jack.
Connect the SUBWOOFER OUT jack on this unit
to the INPUT jack on the subwoofer using the
subwoofer cable (commercially available).
Do not connect the power cable of this unit and the subwoofer
until all cable connections are completed.
