ENGLISH Connections 3 AUX PEDAL Jack This jack is for connecting an optional FC4/FC5 foot switch or FC7 foot controller. A wide range of functions such as the Soft Pedal function, etc. can be assigned to this jack. Use the Function settings to assign the function. (page 43) FC5 NOTE Depending upon the pedal that is connected to the AUX PEDAL jack, the effect produced by operating the pedal (ON/OFF, dynamics, etc.) might be reversed. If this happens, refer to the "AUX PEDAL Type" section (page 43). 4 AUX OUT [R] [L] Pin jacks (LEVEL FIXED) You can connect these jacks to a stereo system to amplify the P-140 or to a cassette tape recorder to record your performance. Refer to the diagram below and use audio cables to make the connections. CAUTION When the P-140's AUX OUT jacks are connected to an external audio system, first turn on the power to the P-140, then to the external audio system. Reverse this order when you turn the power off. P-140 Stereo NOTE Use audio cables and adaptor plugs with zero resistance. NOTE The P-140's [MASTER VOLUME] slider setting does not affect the signal output from the AUX OUT (LEVEL FIXED) jacks. AUX PEDAL Jack
This jack is for connecting an optional FC4/FC5 foot switch or FC7 foot controller.

AUX OUT [R] [L] Pin jacks (LEVEL FIXED)
You can connect these jacks to a stereo system to amplify the P-140 or to a cassette
tape recorder to record your performance. Refer to the diagram below and use
audio cables to make the connections.
CAUTION
When the P-140’s AUX OUT jacks are connected to an external audio system, first turn on the
power to the P-140, then to the external audio system. Reverse this order when you turn the
power off.
Depending upon the pedal that is
connected to the AUX PEDAL
jack, the effect produced by oper-
ating the pedal (ON/OFF, dynam-
ics, etc.) might be reversed. If this
happens, refer to the “AUX
PEDAL Type” section (page 43).
NOTE
FC5

The P-140’s
