English SETTING THE SLEEP TIMER If you use the SLEEP timer of this unit, you can have this unit automatically put in the standby mode after a set period of time. When you want to go to sleep while enjoying a broadcast or other desired input source, this timer function is helpful. Notes q The SLEEP timer can be controlled only with the remote control transmitter. q The components on which the SLEEP timer is effective are the sources connected to the SWITCHED AC OUTLET(S) on the rear panel of this unit. To set the SLEEP time 1 SLEEP To cancel the selected SLEEP time SLEEP Press repeatedly to select the desired SLEEP time. Indicates the SLEEP time. SLEEP CONCERT HALL Lights up. Whenever the SLEEP key is pressed, the SLEEP time will change as follows. (Minutes) 120 90 60 30 The SLEEP timer is off (OFF). (The state before the SLEEP key is pressed.) After a while, the display returns to the indication displayed before the SLEEP timer was set. 2 The unit will be turned into the standby mode automatically at the selected SLEEP time. Press repeatedly until "SLEEP OFF" appears in the display. (It will soon disappear and the "SLEEP" indicator will go off from the display.) Note The SLEEP timer setting can also be canceled by putting this unit into the standby mode with the STANDBY/ON switch on the front panel (or the POWER /I key on the remote control transmitter) or disconnecting the power plug of this unit from the AC outlet. 39
