APPENDIX A Product Specifications and WallMounting Instructions The following tables summarize the NBG318S's hardware and firmware features. Table 101 Hardware Features Dimensions (W x D x H) 162 x 118 x 35 mm Power Specification 120-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz Ethernet ports Auto-negotiating: This auto-negotiation feature allows the NBG318S to detect the speed of incoming transmissions and adjust appropriately without manual intervention. It allows data transfer of either 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps in either half-duplex or full-duplex mode depending on your Ethernet network. Auto-crossover: Use either crossover or straight-through Ethernet cables. 3-4 Port Switch A combination of switch and router makes your NBG318S a cost-effective and viable network solution. You can add up to three computers to the NBG318S without the cost of a hub when connecting to the Internet through the WAN port. You can add up to four computers to the NBG318S when you connect to the Internet through a HomePlug connection. Add more than four computers to your LAN by using a hub. ENCRYPT Pressing this button in for less than 3 seconds begins the powerline connection setup process. Pressing this button in for more than 10 seconds resets the network name to a random value. WPS button The WPS (WI-Fi Protected Setup) button is built into the rear panel. Use this button to set up a WPS connection with another WPS enabled device. Reset Button Antenna Operation Environment Storage Environment Distance between the centers of the holes on the device's back. Note: Upgrade your firmware to install this feature on your device. The reset button is built into the rear panel. Use this button to restore the NBG318S to its factory default settings. Press for 1 second to restart the device.
