Care of Your Compact Discs Handle discs carefully. Store them in their original cases or other protective cases and away direct sunlight from and dust. If the surface of a discis soiled, dampen a clean, soft cloth a mild, neutral detergent in solution and clean it, wiping from the center to the edge. Be sure neverto touch the signal surface when handling discs. Pick up discs by grasping outer edges or the the edge of the hole and the outer edge. Rear Window Defogger Antenna (If Equipped) The rear window defogger, with this option, also serves this as a radio antenna. If you have option, do not apply aftermarket glass tinting. metallic film in some The tinting materialswill interfere with or distortthe incoming radio reception. NOTICE: Do not try to clear frost or other material from the insideof the rear window with a razor blade or anything else that is sharp. This may damage the rear defogger grid and affect your radio's ability to pick up stations clearly. The repairs wouldn't be covered by your warranty. Care of Your Compact Disc Player The use of CD lens cleaner discs is not advised, to due the risk of contaminating the lens of the CD optics with lubricants internal to the CD mechanism. Fixed Mast Antenna The fixed mast antenna can withstand most car washes If without being damaged. the mast should ever become slightly bent, you can straightenout by hand. If the it mast is badly bent,as it might beby vandals, you should replaceit. Check every once a while to be sure the mast is still in tightened tothe fender. 3-19
