2. Pick up the latch plate,and run the lap and shoulder portions of the vehicle's safety belt through or around the restraint. The child restraint instructions will show you how. I 3.- Buckle the belt. Make sure the release buttanis positioned so you b would be able to unbuckle the safety belt quicklyif you ever had to. Tilt the latch plate adjust the belt needed. to if If the shoulder belt goes front of the child's face or in neck, putit behind the child restraint.
