THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE 55 When the bag deploys, it opens the seam between the front and side of the seat's trim cover. Each bag deploys independently, that is a left side impact deploys the left bag only and a right-side impact deploys only the right bag. The following requirements must be strictly adhered to: • Do not make any modifications to the front seat components, assembly, or to the seat cover in any way. • Do not use prior or future model year seat covers not designated for the specific model being repaired. Always use the correct seat cover specified for the vehicle. • Do not replace the seat cover with an aftermarket seat cover. 2 Seat-mounted Side Airbag Label The ORC System deploys the seat-mounted airbags during a collision with other vehicles and during a collision where the impact is confined to a particular area of the vehicle - such as a collision with poles, trees or similar objects.
