Controls and features Functional check When the ignition is switched on, the control light will illuminate for approximately three seconds to indicate that the system is operating correctly. If the control light flashes rapidly for approximately one minute and then repeatedly at irregular intervals, the system did not recognize the key code. Remove the key and try again. If the control light illuminates continuously for approximately one minute and then flashes repeatedly at irregular intervals, a system malfunction has occurred. Have the malfunction repaired by your dealer or a qualified technician as soon as possible. The system is not compatible with aftermarket remote start systems, which allow the vehicle to be started from outside the vehicle. Use of these systems may result in vehicle starting problems and a loss of vehicle security protection. Metallic objects or electronic devices on the same key ring as the ignition key may cause vehicle starting problems if these objects are touching the ignition key during vehicle start. These objects and devices cannot damage the key. If a problem occurs, turn the ignition off and restart the engine with all other objects on the key ring held away from the ignition key.

When the
ignition
is switched
on,
the
control light
will
illuminate
for
approximately
three

to
indicate
that
the
system
is
operating
correctly.
If the

at
irregular
intervals,
the
system did
not
recognize
the

again.
If the
control
light
illuminates
continuously
for
approximately
one
minute
and

flashes
repeatedly
at irregular

has occurred.
Have
the

repaired
by

The
system is not
compatible
with
aftermarket
remote

cause
vehicle
starting
problems
if these
objects
are
touching
the
ignition
key
during
vehicle
start.
These
objects
and
devices cannot
damage
the
key.
If
a
problem
occurs,
turn
the
