111 DHCP Dynamic Host Control Protocol. A protocol that lets you centrally manage and automate the assignment of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses in an organization's network. DNS Domain Name System. When you need to access another device on your network, you enter the name of the device, instead of its IP address.
