50 CHAPTER 4: MANAGING DEVICE SECURITY Reauthentication Period - Displays the time span (in seconds) in which the selected port is reauthenticated. The field default is 3600 seconds. Authenticator State - Displays the current authenticator state. Termination Cause - Indicates the reason for which the port authentication was terminated. 2 Click Apply. Port Authentication is enabled, and the device is updated. Defining 802.1X Authentication The 802.1X Setup Page contains information for configuring 802.1X global settings on the device and defining specific 802.1X setting for each port individually.
