Why can't I send SMS messages? Verify that your handheld radio is turned on and that you are in an area of sufficient wireless coverage. For more information on wireless coverage levels, refer to the printed documentation that accompanied your handheld. If you send a message and you are not in an area of sufficient wireless coverage, the handheld sends the message when you return to an area of sufficient wireless coverage. Verify that fixed dialing number mode is not enabled. To disable FDN mode, in the phone options, click FDN Phone List. Click the trackwheel. Click Disable FDN mode. If you still cannot send SMS messages, verify that your plan supports sending and receiving SMS messages. For more information, contact your service provider.
