āOperation Main power switch Turning on Turning off Note Use the main switch to turn on the electronic circuitry for the control panel. The cooktop is now ready to use. Touch ON/OFF until the indicator above the main switch and the symbols $ for the heating elements turn on. Touch ON/OFF until the indicator above the main switch turns off. The residual heat indicators will continue to appear until the elements have cooled off sufficiently. The cooktop will turn off automatically if all of the elements have been turned off for longer than 15 seconds. If residual heat is still present when the cooktop is turned on, H/h will appear in the heating element display. Setting the cooktop This section explains how to set the elements. In the table, you can find temperature settings for various foods. Setting the heating element Setting the heat setting Select the desired heat setting in the setting area. Heat setting 1 = lowest power Heat setting 9 = highest power Each heat setting has an intermediate position. It is indicated by . and is set using Þ. The cooktop must be turned on. 1. Touch the symbol $ for the desired heating element. ‹ will appear in the display and the symbol $ for the selected heating element will light up brightly. 2.
