16 EN Problem The quality of the foam/crema has deteriorated. Possible cause The drink outlet is clogged or dirty. Brewing unit cannot be Piercing unit / T DISC holder securely closed. is not properly inserted. The T DISC is not inserted properly. Water dripping from the brewing unit. The brewing unit is not properly closed. The T DISC is damaged or leaky. Water on the surface under the cup stand. The piercing unit is either not inserted or not inserted properly. Water from condensation. Service T DISC is damaged or lost. The Service T DISC must always be used for cleaning and descaling processes. Solution Remove the drink outlet from the brewing unit and detach the piercing unit. After cleaning everything thoroughly, reassemble the parts and replace them in the brewing unit. Insert the T DISC holder and piercing unit properly. Re-insert the T DISC and make sure it is properly positioned. Ensure T DISC is not damaged or pierced in the wrong place before commencing brewing. Push the clamp down firmly until it audibly clicks into place. Stop the brewing process: press the start/stop button, wait until orange light, remove the T DISC and clean the brewing unit. Do not use chemically softened water. Be sure water is not treated with sodium based softener. Check to ensure that the piercing unit is inserted properly. Condensation may occur and is not a fault. Remove it by wiping with a cloth. Look for the Service T DISC in the storage compartment at the back of the appliance.
