ÄCAUTION: When removing the RTC battery from the system board, it is extremely important to use a non-metalic object to pry up the RTC battery to prevent damage to the system bord or the battery. 6. Allow at least 10 seconds to pass. Then replace the battery, simultaneously making contact with the two pads located at R37 on the system boarding, using a conductive piece of material such as a piece of wire or tool. 7. Reassemble the Notebook. 8. Turn on the Notebook to verify that the Power-on password has been cleared. If it has not been cleared, repeat Steps 1 through 8.
