Enabling the Quick Controls There are two ways to enable Quick Controls, either from Passwords Properties or from Computer Setup. To enable the Quick Controls from Passwords Properties in Windows 95 or later or Windows NT: 1. Click the Computer Security tab in Passwords Properties. 2. If a power-on password has been set, the QuickLock and QuickLock on Standby options become available. When you select QuickLock, the QuickBlank option also becomes available. Check each box with the features you want enabled. To enable the Quick Controls from Computer Setup: 1. Access the Computer Setup utility. 2. Click Systems Changes icon Æ Security Management Æ Password Options tab. 3. If a power-on password has been set, the QuickLock/QuickBlank on Standby option also becomes available. Check each box with the features you want enabled. Initiating the Quick Controls You can initiate QuickLock and QuickBlank at any time while the computer is on. Before initiating these security features, the following conditions must be met: s A power-on password must be established. s QuickLock and QuickBlank must be enabled. Once these requirements are met, you can initiate QuickLock and QuickBlank in one of two ways: s Using the Fn+F6 hotkeys, which work only on the computer keyboard. s Using the key combination Ctrl+Alt+L, which works on both the computer and external keyboards. To exit QuickLock and QuickBlank once they have been initiated, enter your power-on password. Enabling the Quick Controls
There are two ways to enable Quick Controls, either from
Passwords Properties or from Computer Setup.
To enable the Quick Controls from Passwords Properties in

Initiating the Quick Controls

QuickLock and QuickBlank must be enabled.
Once these requirements are met, you can initiate QuickLock and
QuickBlank in one of two ways:
Using the
Fn+F6
