Use as an Extension on an Approved PABX Xircom cannot guarantee that this modem will operate correctly under all possible conditions when connected to compatible PABX equipment. Any cases of difficulty should be reported directly to Xircom. This modem may not be connected to PABX systems which do not have a BT431A compatible socket connection. Bell Noise This apparatus does not incorporate circuitry to suppress bell-tinkle during dialing. It has been found that when used with some electronic ring type telephones and on two wire circuits that bell tinkle will occur during dialing. This is not a fault and we advise you not to call the Fault repair service. C-15
