8 Compaq ProLiant 8500 Server I/O Module Upgrade Guide Removing the Cable Management Arm IMPORTANT: All PCI expansion boards must be removed from the server to perform the upgrade. Before removing the PCI expansion boards, label all cables. 1. Disconnect all cables from the PCI expansion boards (if installed).  2. Loosen the thumbscrew on the cable management arm bracket , and  lift up on the bracket to disconnect the cable management arm from the back of the server. 3. Removing the Cable Management Arm
IMPORTANT:
All PCI expansion boards must be removed from the server to perform the
upgrade. Before removing the PCI expansion boards, label all cables.
1.
Disconnect all cables from the PCI expansion boards (if installed).
2.
Loosen the thumbscrew on the cable management arm bracket
, and
lift up on the bracket
to disconnect the cable management arm from
the back of the server.
3.
Swing the cable management arm out of the way.
