INSTALLING THE HOLD-DOWN CLAMP ASSEMBLY (FIG. F) Fig. G 1 1. Loosen the lock knob (1) from the rear side of the saw base (2). 2. Place the hold-down clamp assembly (3) in one of two mounting holes (4). 2 3. Tighten the lock knob. 4 Fig. F 2 4 . Locate the arbor lock (5) on the motor, below the miter saw switch handle. (Fig. H) 7. Press the arbor lock, holding it in firmly while turning the blade wrench clockwise. The arbor lock will engage after turning the wrench. Continue to hold the arbor lock in to keep it engaged, while turning the wrench clockwise to loosen the arbor bolt. Fig. H REMOVING OR INSTALLING THE BLADE Removing Blade (Fig. G, H, I) [_ WARNING] To avoid injury from an accidental start, make sure the switch is in the OFF position and plug is not connected to the power source outlet. 1. Unplug the saw from the outlet. 2. Allow the miter saw to rise to the upright position. Raise the lower blade guard (1) to the up position. (Fig. G) 3. Loosen the cover plate screw (2) with a Phillips screwdriver. 4. Rotate the cover plate (3) towards the rear of the tool to expose the arbor bolt (4). 5. Place the blade wrench over the arbor bolt. 8. Remove the arbor bolt (4), outer blade collar (6), and the blade (7). Do not remove the inner blade collar. (Fig. I) NOTE: Pay attention to the pieces removed, noting their position and direction they face. Wipe the blade collars clean of any sawdust before installing the new blade. 1. Loosen the lock knob (1) from the rear side of the
saw base (2).

Place the hold-down clamp assembly
(3) in one of

Tighten the lock knob.

Raise the lower blade guard (1) to the up position.

Loosen the cover plate screw (2) with a Phillips
screwdriver.
4.
Rotate the cover plate (3) towards the rear of the tool
to expose the arbor bolt (4).
5.
Place the blade wrench
over the arbor bolt.
8.
Remove the arbor bolt (4), outer blade collar (6),
and the blade (7). Do not remove the inner blade
collar. (Fig. I)
NOTE:
Pay attention to the pieces removed,
noting their
position and direction
they face. Wipe the blade collars
clean of any sawdust
before installing the new blade.
