Do not operate the saw without the proper saw blade guard in place. Carbide is a very hard but brittle material. Foreign objects in the workpiece, such as wire or nails, can also cause tips to crack or break off. Before using, always visually examine the blade and tips for bent blade, cracks, breakage, missing or loose tips, or other damage. Do not use if damage is suspected.
