Basic version Advanced version Standard playback nnSurround playback of 2-channel sources 1 Playing the source (vpage 12 - 17). 2 Press SURROUND 0 or SURROUND 1 to select the surround decoder to play back multichannel sound. Select the surround mode while viewing the display on the TV screen. • Which decoder can be selected depends on the settings of C page 5 "Speaker Config.". DOLBY PLgx z This mode is for 7.1-channel surround playback using the surround back speakers. • "PLgx Cinema", "PLgx Music"or "PLgx Game" is displayed. DOLBY PLg This mode is for 5.1-channel surround playback. Select this mode if no surround back speaker is to be used. • "PLg Cinema", "PLg Music", "PLg Game" or "Pro Logic" is displayed. DTS NEO:6 This mode is for 7.1-channel or 5.1-channel surround playback using the surround back speakers. • "DTS NEO:6 Cinema" or "DTS NEO:6 Music" is displayed. zz This can be selected when "Speaker Config." - "Surround Back" (C page 5 "Speaker Config.") is not set to "None". 3 Press AUDIO ADJUST and then press ENTER. 4 Use o p to select the mode according to the content to be played and then press ENTER. More sound is sent to the front speakers than in "Cinema" mode. This mode is suited for games. z This mode is suitable for playback of 2-channel sources recorded with Dolby Pro Logic. zz This can be selected when "Speaker Config." - "Surround Back" (C page 5 "Speaker Config.") is not set to "None". 5 Press AUDIO ADJUST. The menu display disappears. nnSurround playback of multi-channel sources (Dolby Digital, DTS etc.) 1 Playing the source (vpage 12 - 17). 2 Press SURROUND 0 or SURROUND 1 to select the surround decoder to play back multichannel sound.
