Introduction The EPSON® Scanning Utilities let you perform the following functions with your EPSON scanner: Calibrate your scanner to your monitor and your printer Capture scanned images from within your application Automatically locate, expose, and scan an image Adjust individual settings and preview the effects before you scan Choose single- or triple-pass scanning Save and reuse scanning settings that work well in your environment Take advantage of the multipage scanning feature available with scanners that have an automatic document feeder (ADF) Take advantage of the text enhancement technology built into some EPSON scanners. The EPSON Scanning Utilities are composed of two integrated main programs: EPSON Scan! II and EFSON TWAIN. EPSON Scan! II calibrates your scanner with your monitor and color printer to produce images in colors that closely match the originals. It can also capture images and then save and export them in a variety of file formats. EPSON TWAIN is the interface between most of your software and your scanner. TWAIN has two screens: easy and advanced. You can access either screen from within any software that supports the TWAIN standard or from EPSON Scan! II to take advantage of your scanner's features.
